Quintain Steel Co., LTD. was founded in 1973, began with producing galvanized wire (now YungKung Plant),  which is adopted widely in agriculture, construction, processing industries and mesh-making. In order to increase added value of the product and promote quality, MaTou Plant has been expanded to produce spheroidize annealed wire for screw industries since 1989.

 In 1992, Quintain Steel Co., LTD. was established as a publicly- listed company. For integrating upstream and downstream industries, stabilizing the sources of raw material and responding demands of the domestic economic development, we built Kuan-Tien Plant with the annual capacity of 500,000 MT of hot rolled steel wire rod in 1994.

1973：

Quintain Steel Co., LTD. was founded at Yung-Kung city, Tainan , with its initial capital at NTD 3.2 million.

1974：

Start the wire drawing manufacture, and the capital increased to NTD 9.6 million.

1977：

Set up the first line of hot dip galvanizing equipment to produce hot dip galvanized wire.

1983：

The capital increased to NTD 21.81 million, and added another production line of hot dip galvanized wire for the local market.

1989：

The capital increased to NTD 170 million, and built spheroidized wire plant (Ma-Tou plant) to supply to the high-quality screw manufacturers.

1991：

Expand the spheroidized wire plant, and its related electrical equipments. 

1992：

The low carbon hot dip galvanized wire product was certified by Chinese National Standards (CNS). In august, with capital of NTD 350 million, Quintain Steel has been approved to go public by the SAC of the Ministry of Finance and became officially publicly-listed on November 2nd.

1995：

The capital increased to NTD 1,589.435 million; meantime, the spheroidized wire product was certified by ISO-9002.

1996：

The capital increased to NTD 1,913 million, and built up the hot rolling mill (Kuan-Tien plant).

1997：

The capital increased to NTD 3,168 million; meanwhile, the spheroidized wire plant was certified by ISO-14001 and the wire rod rolling mill started the test rolling period.

1998：

The wire rod rolling mill got into regular operation and the capital increased to NTD 3,806 million.

1999：

The capital increased to NTD 4,528 million. Also, the rolling mill was certified by ISO-9002, and both the rolling mill and the spheroidized wire plant were certified by CNLA laboratory certification.

2001：

The galvanized wire plant was certified by ISO-9002, and the spheroidized wire plant was certified by QS-9000.

2003：

The galvanized wire plant was certified by Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS) qualification.

2006：

The "Deformed Bar in Coil" product was certified by Chinese National Standards (CNS) and offered to the market.
