Chuo Denki Kogyo Co., Ltd. is a Japan-based manufacturing company. The Company operates in three business segments. The Alloy Iron segment manufactures and sells alloy iron products, which include ferromanganese and silicone manganese. The Functional Material segment is engaged in the manufacture and sale of functional materials, which include manganese sulfate, manganese carbonate, hydrogen storing alloys and magnet alloys. The Civil Engineering and Construction-related segment is involved in the construction and civil engineering businesses, as well as the manufacture of construction materials. As of March 31, 2010, the Company had two subsidiaries and one affiliated company.
