Metals USA is one of the top 10 metal service center companies in North America, with approximately $1.8 billion in sales per year.

Service center operator Metals USA has united a mix of businesses. The company offers three main product lines: flat-rolled metals (steel, aluminum, and brass), plates and shapes (bar, plate, structural steel, and tubing), and building products (awnings, roofing, and solariums). It operates about 40 facilities and provides processing services such as laser cutting, leveling, and slitting. Metals USA's customers include metal fabricators; manufacturers of appliances, electrical equipment, furniture, industrial machinery, and transportation equipment; and companies in the home improvement industry. Apollo Management owns practically all of Metals USA. In 2010 Metals USA went to the financial markets with an IPO.
