The Spanish Association of Steelworks Exporters (Siderex) is a non profit organization founded in 1996, whose main goals are to promote Spanish steel exports and to defend the general interests of its members.

Siderex is currently made up 49companies, ranging from producers of carbon, stainless and alloy steels, steel processors to steelplants equipment manufacturers. Their total turnover was 2,364 million euros in 2008 with exports of 1,362 million euros.

In order to achieve its objectives, Siderex sends Trade Missions abroad, invites Foreign Purchasers Delegations to Spain, participates in International Congresses and Trade Fairs, carries out market research, channels enquiries and demands, organizes advertising campaigns and other related activities.

All of them financed by its members?fees along with the support of the Spanish Foreign Trade Institute (ICEX), the Basque Government and specially the Chamber of Commerce of Bilbao, where our offices are located.
