Prairie Mining Limited ("Prairie" or the "Company") is an emerging Polish coal developer focused on the exploration, evaluation, appraisal and development of  the Lublin Coal Project ("Project").

The Lublin Coal Project is a large scale premium coal project with a current Coal Resource Estimate of 722 million tonnes (”CRE”) across four coal exploration concessions in south eastern Poland. The CRE is based on the review and modelling of historic data over the Company’s concessions, including the logs from 200 cored boreholes. Recent coal quality test work has demonstrated potential for semi-soft coking coal from the main 391 coal seam which hosts a current resource of 314 million tonnes.

On 28 April 2014, Prairie announced the results of a Scoping Study  for the Project which confirmed robust project fundamentals including the potential to supply 6 million tonnes of premium coal into the heartland of industrial Europe and to do so at an average cash operating cost of US$36.80 per tonne - the lowest cash cost for coal delivered into Europe.
