Korea Automobile Manufacturers Association(KAMA) is a non-profit organization, representing the interests of automakers in Korea. KAMA is also dedicated to the sound growth of the automobile industry and the development of the national economy.

Analysis, research and data publications
Analysis the trends in the automobile industry at home and abroad, survey on mid and long-term demand and
supply prospects and establishing databases on automobile statistics, etc.
Coordinating human resource development council of automobile industry

1988 July - Inauguration of KAMA
- Admitted Hyundai Motor Co., Kia Motors Corp., Daewoo Motor Co., Ltd., Asia Motors Co., Inc.
and Ssangyong Motor Co. as member companies
- Elected Sun-Hong Kim, President of Kia Motors Corp. as the first Chairman of KAMA
September - Formally opened KAMA office (8th floor of 63building)
1991 January - Acquired full membership in OICA(International Organization of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers)
1992 September - Admitted Hyundai Precision & Industry Co., Ltd. as a member of KAMA
1994 January - Reformed KAMA organization to 6 Departments, 1 Bureau and 15 Sections
1995 May - Organized the first Seoul Motor Show 1995
1997 April - Organized the second Seoul Motor Show 1997
1998 March - Reformed KAMA organization to 5 Teams
September - Moved to the current automobile building(658-4, Deungchon-dong, Gangseo-gu, Seoul) and
published 10-year KAMA history
October - Created KAMA official website
1999 January - Reorganized KAMA membership to three(Hyundai Motor, Daewoo Motor, Kia Motors) as a
result of automobile industry restructuring
May - Organized the third Seoul Motor Show 1999
2001 March - Admitted Ssangyong Motor Co. and RenaultSamsung Motors Co., as members of KAMA
April - Reformed KAMA organization to 6 Teams
2002 November - Organized the fourth Seoul Motor Show 2002
2003 May - Established Korea Auto Forum
2004 April - Reformed KAMA organization into 9 teams
May - Held the first "Automobile Day" celebration
December - Held the first "Night of the Automobile Industrialists"
2005 May - Organized the fifth Seoul Motor Show 2005
May - Published "The 50 Year History of Korean Automobile Industry"
May - Held the second "Automobile Day"
December - Held the second "Night of the Automobile Industrialists"
2006 May - Held the third "Automobile Day"
